Keep Cool This Summer in an Exotic Car Rental

After a long day of being out in the heat, getting into an equally hot car is definitely not what you want. If you’re a Miami native, you definitely know what it feels like to blast the A/C after stepping inside your searing hot car that was sitting in the sun all day. While you definitely can’t control the weather, there are plenty of tips to follow when trying to keep cool in your exotic car rental.

Stay Shady In Your Exotic Car Rental

While this isn’t the most realistic tip in our city, definitely use it when you have the chance. Parking in the shade can help your car stay cool when the sun’s rays are on full display. Although parking under a tree runs the risk of getting some leaves on your exotic car rental, beating the heat is worth it. If there are no trees in sight, however, park with the rear of the car facing the direction of the sun so that your steering wheel and seats stay cooler.

We also highly recommend using a sunshade or other kind of windshield cover. This will directly block the front of your exotic Lamborghini rental from receiving the sun’s rays. While the rest of the car will still feel a little hot, your front seats will be protected. With less heat, you won’t need to turn up the car’s A/C to the highest level for so long, saving you a little money on gas. If you’re driving with a child, you can also keep the car from getting too hot in the back by installing retractable window shades. Depending on how luxurious you want to be, your exotic car rental might come with window shades already.

Watch out for Hot Leather

When it’s ninety degrees outside, the last thing you want is the leather on your exotic car rental to burn your skin. Keep the seats cool by using a towel or a cloth seat cover under you. You can always remove it when you return the car. Speaking of burns, seat belt buckles made out of metal can retain heat too, so be careful not to burn yourself and make sure your kids don’t touch the buckles either. This goes without saying, but don’t leave your kids or your pets locked inside your car. This is especially dangerous if you leave the car off with no air conditioning when it’s boiling hot outside. The summer heat is no joke!

Don’t Leave Your Things

You probably already know this tip as well, but don’t leave any perishables in your vehicle. The intense heat can even ruin things like electronic devices, CDs, DVDs, and items made out of plastic. If your child leaves toys made out of plastic in your exotic car rental, the weather can even melt those too, so make sure to leave your items in the trunk or leave them at home if you don’t need them most days.
